Poems

This poem is a declaration of exclusivity—one found not in sect or celebrity, but in the Name above every name. It challenges the false saviors of our age: religious denominations, political figures, charitable brands, and cultural idols.

Only Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, can deliver from death and judgment. All things of the earth will be consumed like chaff when passed through the holy fire of purification—and only one Name survives to save us all.

No Other Name

Not Peter, James or John;
Not Moses or Abraham.
No, not Samaritan’s Purse ®,
Billy or Franklin Graham.

The greatest prophet’s name
Will surely not suffice.
Neither pope or president
Can proffer paradise.

Not a race or nation,
Not a party or a sect
Can save our soul from Hades;
O what did we expect?

Not denominations,
Not clubs or coalitions,
Not televangelists,
Or proud politicians.

Not a corporation
Or a 501(c)(3).
No matter its noble cause,
Not one can set us free!

Upon the earth that He created
Just one Name the Father gave:
Jesus Christ the Nazarine;
Only He can save!

Great popularity;
Lofty power or prestige
May belong to other names,
But none God’s wrath appease.

So mortal men take care
The names you chose to plead,
See how quickly the fire consumes the chaff
Of our stubborness and greed!
