Elisha's Servant's Song (Chariots of Fire)
based on: 2 Kings 6:8-23

            0:00 / 0:00

We were surrounded; badly outnumbered.
I cried, "O Master, What shall we do?"
He answered, "Fear not! Those who are with us
Are more than those within your present view!"
Elisha, my master, prayed, "Lord, I ask Thee
Open his eyes, that he may see."
And then my eyes, the eyes of a servant,
Were somehow opened, and I could see!
I saw the horses of an angel army
When all around us seemed dark and dire!
Though formed against us was a force of many,
All around my master: chariots of fire!
Our foes moved closer – my master prayed again,
"Lord strike them blind: our enemies!"
And they all were blinded – my master led them
As kingdom captives, soon to be set free.
If you're surrounded; badly outnumbered,
You've cried to Jesus, "What shall we do?"
His Word says, "Fear Not!" Those who are with us
Are more than those within your present view!
I saw the horses of an angel army
When all around us seemed dark and dire!
Though formed against us was a force of many,
All around my master: chariots of fire!
