Poems

When pride masquerades as faith, and political loyalty eclipses obedience to Christ, the result is not righteousness—but ruin. The returns on such investments lead always to folly and destruction.

Returns on Investment

They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to carve out for themselves cisterns… that do not hold water. - Jeremiah 2:13

We have no rivers, we have no wells, we have no springs, only a few cisterns—and these empty—that echo, and we worship them. - George Seferis

The lies they believed
In good and bad seasons;
So sure they were right
But for all the wrong reasons!

Later they suffered
The sad consequences
Of exchanging the truth
For deceit and pretenses.

What profits a man?
All gains here are loss,
Save the Life, Truth, and Way
Of our poor Savior’s cross!
